I was recently working and staying in the Muenster, IN area and finally go to try Cafe Borgia! We sat at the bar and experienced exceptional service from Jen and her crew! We started with an appetizer of fried calamari which was very chewy and bland, that was the low point of the evening and things definitely got better from there. I ordered the stuffed chicken which came with broccoli and barely, it knocked my socks off.... 10/10!! My brother had the chicken parmigiana which was a massive portion, he said his meal was excellent as well. The restaurant itself was very clean, cozy, and well decorated. If I lived in the region I would be a well known regular.
We have always ordered only carryout, but admittedly once or twice a week religiously the food is always good and you can get food items that you can't normally get elsewhere like liver and onions, stuffed cabbage, stuffed green peppers. I love their meat lovers breakfast. All their breakfast items are good.
We came in this evening and sat at the bar. The bar staff was incredibly friendly and engaging. We shared the calamari, which was delicious, and each had our own salad, and shared an entrée of rotini sardi. Great ambience with the paintings and other decorations.
The food here is very good. The dining room is big and open. Some would say it is too noisy. The servers seem to know the menu very well. We were there one time for a funeral luncheon and the food and choices were very good.
The atmosphere here is very homey and I love it! My cousin wanted to go here for her birthday dinner and we all enjoyed the food as well as the service. The hostess was kind as well as our server. We all got different drinks and meals and we all loved what we got. We definitely plan to return here for not just the food but the atmosphere!
